Ciara vs Chrisette Michele: The Fight For #1

Chrisette landed the number 1 spot on the billboard album charts selling 83,000 units, which was 2.5 thousand more than Ciara. This came as a major shock as Ciara had heavy radio rotation, lots of collaborations
expensive music videos and had a heavy media presence.

Many are viewing this as more of a battle between good music credible singer v flashy gimmicky dance moves they're previous albums first week sales were 338,000 for ciara back in 2006 and 26,000 for chrisette in 2007.
And finally to put these numbers into further perspective here are some first week sales numbers for some other female artists:
