"The back of the ticket warns..." I thought there was nothing for sale at BM; no commerce. Was the ticket free?

@TheMrBlinx No commerce at the site (except for ice and coffee - proceeds go to local schools, fire, etc) but there definitely are tickets to pay BLM use fees, Law enforcement and emergency services, onsite ER, setup costs, etc. etc.

@ruviwije Hmmm... I did not know that. I knew about ice and coffee. What's BLM stand for? BM = Burning Man, but the "L"? How many "fees" are there and for what?

@TheMrBlinx - the Feds - the bureau of land management. Youtube doesn't allow links but if you go to the burningman website there is a lot of useful info. Most of the rumors and stories that make their way around the net are just BS spread by people who have never been out there. BM can range from a week long party to a life changing spiritual experience. It's different for everyone. Also check out the Galleries link on the BM site.

The ride down was much faster at night (after the astroturf cooled down). My buddies and I did it a few times. Being a skier I liked it best while doing it standing up!
