Starting my Pennine Way series I go for a day hike from Edale to Snake Pass (A57) along the Pennine Way. About a 20 mile roundtrip over Kinder Scout, Edale, Upper Booth and Jacob's Ladder. I give history of Kinder Scout and the trespass that allows the countryside to be opened up through legislation.

  • have you ever thought about showing a picture at the start or end of your video's of a os map with the route you have tanken marked on it, ???,, or a print screen of google earth.

  • @Brasso182 I ruled out ever showing a route or graphic anywhere within the videos, but I've thought about creating a Google map showing the route, perhaps with clickable bubbles to link to certain parts of the video and then linking to that in the description

  • @DStaniforth that would be great, im planning to do kinder scout and bleaklow (2 day trip) next year so my first port of call was your video's but there was'nt much on the route's you took,

  • @Brasso182 I followed the Pennine Way pretty much exactly, there are other paths but the Pennine Way is clearly marked on the OS map. Where it splits coming out of Edale I took the route down to Barber Booth and then up Jacob's Ladder, over Kinder to Mill Hill, across to the the path down to Doctor's Gate and then directly up to Bleaklow

  • amazing video , i'll be around there myself soon , love kinder scout

  • @Chebmeh There are open access areas along the way. You might have difficulty camping in farmland or in the industrial valleys, but in open moorland you should be able to get away with it. There are real campsites available as well

  • @DStaniforth You can just camp everywhere though, right?

  • Cool video. I would love to take a trip over the "pond" and do some hiking in your part of the world. My son and I just started posting hiking videos too. Thanks for posting.

  • @tropico5 not to hunt no, have to be careful of people lol
