Boy meets girl. In a strip club. Boy meets Jesus. In a park. Now what?
This clip is excerpted from the God's Work, Our Witness Documentary, which premiered on December 4, 2011 in all Mars Hill churches and online. It's a story of how God was incredibly faithful to a group of people who had no idea what they were doing—except that they were committed to the gospel of Jesus Christ and to building and serving his church.

@JPNR “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand” You are manipulating your belief system to fit your distorted view of the world, you are part of the animal kingdom and if you don’t feel part of this world, what a hell are you doing here?

@gahver 14 I have given them your word and the world has hated them, for they are not of the world any more than I am of the world. 15 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. 17 Sanctify them by[d] the truth; your word is truth. John 17

@JPNR Then ask yourself, which gods are you referring? In other religions some gods are animal like, others extraterrestrial, others are very human, etc. Christianity deals strictly with human laws because morality demands it, other than that you are making stuff up to match your unearthly fantasy. I’d like to know where in the bible does it say “we live in this world but are not of it anymore”?

@gahver If God was created by humans then I would agree with you completely. But since God is not human, doesn't think or act as a human I will disagree with you. Jesus Christ said that we live in this world but are not of it anymore. As Christian we don't follow the patterns of this world. Yes we should obey authority but as Christians we just don't follow "laws" to be saved. And I think that there is much more to life than just an "individual" in this world.

@JPNR Facts: If you are human you belong to this world, if not you are an extraterrestrial. If you are a man you follow the laws of man, if not you are a criminal. If you have a body like a mammal you belong to the animal kingdom, if not you are a humanoid mutant. Deny these facts and you deny what god gave you to be an individual in this world. Don’t sell your soul cheap, be your own.

@gahver That's the beauty of Christ, He redeems us and we can now live free of the bondage of sin and still live in this sinful world. Jesus said that we who believe in Him live in this world but we are not of this world. We are not in bondage to sin any more but free in Him. And to your two questions I will say neither. I don't follow laws made by man, I follow God's will in my life that is expressed in His word, the Bible. Because of the love He poured out for me, now I live for Him.

@JPNR How can one be free of sin in a sinful world? Are you following god’s chaotic universe of harmony? Or the institution’s castrating laws made by men? Who are they to tell you what god wants from you? Your freedom is an illusion that gives you hope, but true freedom is emotional, mental and spiritual independence that permits true will without mistakes, I’m talking about the god that made your perfect functional body and not the institution that made your imperfect dysfunctional thoughts
