In 2007, Kyrgyzstan was shocked by a malpractice scandal in which dozens of young children were infected with HIV through tainted injections. The affected families have adjusted to managing their children's illness with medication and frequent check-ups. But now that many of the kids are old enough to start school, their parents are wondering how to tell them about their condition -- and how to deal with fear and prejudice in their communities.
