RotWK: Angmar Campaign: Third mission, Amon Sül

Amon Sül.

In order for the witchking to move on, he must first destroy the fortress of Amon Sül to open a passage to the western parts of Arnor. The elves are close by, so they must be led away from there.
Even though the forces at Amon Sül are not big, they hdo indeed have a surprise in store, that the Witch-King must first overcome...

This is a walkthrough of the third mission in Bfme 2 RotWK: Angmar Campaign.

Btw, i was surprised to see that the only real objective is to destroy the building at the back of the map near a mallorn tree. The trick is just to have 4-5 trebuchet type things (completely blanked on the name) and go around the map to the tree that summons dunedain rangers. You can't actually reach the tree but you can destroy the wall near it and it'll take out the tree, after that, you can destroy the main building. No need to even touch their army.

@MidniteDesign When you download the patch needed to play online, the blast radius of troll stone throwers is much smaller, thus resulting in not being able to damage the tree and the citadel while firing at the wall. Other than that, you'll be walking a path where the hidden rangers in the swamp can easily hit you, and soldiers running out of the nearby gate to attack back.

@OzzyJ0 The first try, the heroes have no problem surviving...at least not on medium and easy. They're troublesome to keep alive on hard, but it can still be done.

@stulip155 I matched it up with the summoned stone throwers (again, blanking on the name). So after running through with the witch king, triggering the summon of dunedain rangers i used fear and ran back on horse. After that, the summons just sit there doing nothing, easy to bypass. I also didn't actually build a fortress. Matching up the troll hero's jump attacking with the whirlwind power (it's a 5 i think) pulls enemies together then smashes them to bits.

@tacotopo I don't play oo much online anymore, because I have other interests as well as lacking time, but I'll look into it if I get time and feel like playing bfme online.

To be fair, I haven't played that much online, which my online stats tell, but you shouldn't be fooled. :P
