Reality Check Ep.7

Joe:

Demi Looked down. Her Family was killed... how...can she even live? I was in silence as we walked. Demi, who is strong kept walking. She didn't let this 'talk' pull her down. She just..kept walking. I can't help but smile to myself, 'Is she... am I... do I... like her?' Questions yet to be answered by mere feelings and affection. Maybe, I should talk to her about something else (since it's a looong way back to the house.) I guess.
As Demi looked around the woods, I began talking.

" Demi,--" I said, "-- Do you think.... I'll ever change?"
She looked at me with those brown eyes once more, those eyes were now filled with curiosity.

" Huh?" exclaimed Demi.

"...I mean... you know, I know, we all know.... that I'm a spoiled brat....rude...selfish...jerk... all those bad things that usually happens to ...pampered people? -- will I ever change?" I looked at her, hoping she'd get what I'm saying.
Demi smiled. Why did she smile?

"...yes," she nodded.

"...how are you so certain?" my eyes straightened, My forehead slightly crumpled.
She smiled once more.

" I just know-- you know?" She let out a simple, yet cute giggle.

"...do you 'really' think so?" I said, looking back and forth at her.

"yes I do, I really do. I'll even help you." She held my hand.

Oh-uh. Sparks were flying once more, my stomach is full of 'butterflies'. The tension in my body heated as she held my hand tighter, could this be... the feeling of...love? I shook my head. No, I can't fall in love with her, specially because she's a farm girl. My body froze as she looked me in the eyes.

"---Joe?" I knew she had this feeling of awkwardness, well, because I wasn't speaking. And so she let go of my hand.

I shook my head."..umm..yes?" I looked like a complete fool.

" I'll help you change; If you want it though." She spoke with words so soft.

"...I do wanna change....for the better? I guess.." I said.

"Then that's a promise?" She smiled.

"....maybe...If I do change, I'll try my best." I smiled back at her.

"I'll do my best too" Demi said as she took out her hand for a handshake.

I laughed. I took my hand and shaked her's.

" Joe?--" Demi said as she stopped, "--look! " Her eyes widened and her face drew a huge smile.

"--what?" I looked at what she was pointing. "--fireflies?" I smiled.

" Can you believe it? Time flew by just before our eyes, It's night time already.." She giggled.

"--yeah.." I nodded and looked at her. Her eyes were glittering as she looked at the fireflies, her smile was the sweetest.

" I have an idea! " She exclaimed.

" and what is---" Before I could finish my sentence, she grabbed my hand and we ran.

" Where are we going?" I asked.

" You'll see!" Her face was full of excitement and awe.
