@ParanoidAndroidDA You bet, haha.
-
@desglacons For what?
-
@ParanoidAndroidDA Thanks!
-
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Same, there doesn't seem to be a lot of stuff on youtube for her. Japan's going to make some waves in the next quad with the new seniors it'll have
-
@ParanoidAndroidDA Nope, it's her =D! She's incredible! She probably won't make the Tokyo team, sadly. I'd love to see her in Cup meets!
-
@ShawnVikaKomova2012 Is it Yuji Fujii who can do a quintuple spin or am I just imagining it?
-
@desglacons E I believe

What is the value of an Okino triple turn in this COP. Betty was always such a joy to watch.

Her bent legs on the tumbling and low leaps sort of just ruin all the skills like the Okino for me, because I can't say I wish she had medalled...

Still a tough element to this day. Some Japanese gymnasts are training quad turns on beam now! :)
I did an Okino ONCE because I was training a double turn on beam and I overrotated it. I couldn't believe that I stayed on! *Sigh* My greatest moment on the beam and only one other person saw it :( Also, just a double turn is HARD! After half a year of training it, I only stuck it about 75% of the time. So, I never even competed it. I want to say the Okino is just impossible, but there it is on the screen...

Wow! So terrific! None of that bad technique where one spins the torso half way around in order to get enough crank for the turn either. No one else has been able to do that before or since. Must be all the dance training she did when she was younger. Fantastic.
