Enregistré à l'Olympia à Paris à guichets fermés, Diana Krall nous plonge dans un univers envoûtant où elle interprète avec autant de sensibilité que de sensualité un répertoire complet de ballades et de bossa-nova. Elle est ici accompagnée par l'Orchestre Symphonique Européen et le Paris Jazz Big Band, ainsi que par son propre groupe de musiciens de jazz venu spécialement de Los Angeles. Elle s'est également entourée pour l'occasion du légendaire chef d'orchestre Claus Ogerman.
Elle interprète ici le classique "Cry Me A River" une chanson populaire des États-Unis, écrite par Arthur Hamilton et publiée en 1953.

When people ask me about my favourites, regardless of the topic, the answer is always that same. I don't haver favourites. Some nights its beer and other nights fine Bordeaux, I like them both in different circumstances. Again, classic jazz female singers, there are just too many great ones to select only one - Judy London, Diana Krall, Ella Fitzgerald, Ella Mae Morse etc. etc. etc., I listen and enjoy them all.

Why does it have to be a zero sum game? Why does one have to rule and one have to suck? The whole point of covering these old standards is INTERPRETATION! Julie was awesome, Diana is awesome, somebody might do this tune tomorrow and be awesome. An apple is not an orange is not a door knob is not a banana is not a frying pan is not a carburetor, but a mind is like a parachute. It only works when it's open.
