This story isn't as unique as the malign producers of this doc seem to think, lots of murderers catch religion. Dahmer did. In the height of their desperation they find fervent belief in fables of a forgiving God, it is hardly a psychoanalytical miracle is it? I find it quite telling that religion has to resort to such characters as Berkowitz to find proof of itself.

@BayouBluesMan Yes only in America.... even though every major religion which people just might convert to after the did wrong began in Europe and Asia, Several thousand years BC, with the exception of Christianity which began a few years AD. In that time it was impossible for anyone to use religion as a scapegoat or convert to a religion after doing wrong with in the time period of the religions creation to the discovery and founding of America.... The only thing David Berkowitz can do is continue to repent and feel bad. It's right that he suffer and I think he is suffering. It does seem however that he is truly remorseful. That doesn't begin to make up for his actions and nothing ever will. I've always been of the opinion that certain crimes God doesn't forgive no matter how much you repent. Sometimes I change my mind and think there is a sliver of hope to avoid eternal damnation. He's not going anywhere.

You can't be to much of a good exorcist if you cannot recognize the presence of the Spirit of God in a person's soul You are supposed to have discernment.
