In June 2011, a group of 23 environmental NGOs in China commissioned a testing firm to check sediment samples from a local factory's discharge outlet that dumps waster products including toxic chemicals into the Yangzte River. The factory is one of the largest producers of Apple II products in the world including iPhone, iPod and Mac Computers, and has been dumping dangerously high levels of copper and nickel into China's water supply. Local residents and their children are suffering immediate and debilitating health effects including nausea, nosebleeds, dizziness and worse. The discharge outlet featured in this short film directly impacts the water supply of over a billion people, and so the water crisis in China is quickly escalating—the world needs to do something and pressure the Chinese Government to stop Apple's misuse of their natural resources in exchange for profit and the production of Apple II products. Please spread the word and help protect China's water supply for the next generation.
