Amber, age 11, reads 175-page book in under 2 minutes, Feb-12-2011

Amber is a beginner at speed reading. She only started 3 weeks ago. She's only 11, and in 6th grade, and speed reading class only meets 1 hour per week. Already Amber is beginning to get significant comprehension at high rates of reading speed. Of course this will get even better with time. This little clip is unrehearsed from this morning's class. Children catch on to speed reading much more easily than adults do, generally.

No offense but it doesn't even seem as though she is actually looking at the whole page. but she seems to have comprehended it quite well. I hope one day i will be able to speed read at her level. keep up the good work. and thanks for sharing this with us.
