Here, we'll print a document from Adobe InDesign to the Xerox 7500 Color Laser Printer. We'll also set up and discuss document bleeds, crop marks, and look at setting the correct paper specifications for the Xerox.

Thanks. Offset determines how far outside this 8.5x11 document the crop marks will print. In general, you just want to make sure the offset is greater than the bleed amount. For example, if your bleed is set to .125, the offset should be at least .125. If there is no bleed, then the default is fine.

  • Great video! What does "Offset" mean under Marks and Bleed at 2:45 ? If I were printing a 8.5x11 document with 0.125 bleed, should I leave the Offset to the standard 0.833 or change it?
