While driving on one of moi`s work trips. A herd of Mountain Caribou were crossing the HWY. Feb 14th 2008.

  • If you change the title to mountain caribou in Salmo, you'll probably get more hits.

  • Wow, consider yourself a lucky traveller. Those are not elk, but a herd of endangered mountain caribou. These particular caribou are known as the South Selkirk herd, they are the southern limit of mountain caribou. This herd often spends time in Idaho and Washington, making them among the most endangered mammals in the United States. A pretty awesome sight indeed.
