The legendary band Mike Hunt & The Shy Talk's get together after a gap of 50 years.
The band (origonal name "The Crutchscatchers" ) disbanded in 1958 after the lead singer, Mike Hunt Hunt was called up for national service, the last man from the Scunthorpe area to be called up and the lead guitarist Richard "Dick" Ramsbottom was sentanced to 20 years prison for forging Cliff Richard signature on a members only, porn club application form in Rotheram.
After becoming a grandfather for the 15th time, Mike Hunt decided it was time to show the grandkids how grandpa used to rock. By this time Dick Ramsbottom had long been released from a second life term in HMP for passing 30,000 forged 6 pound notes when trying to buy a suped up Skoda from an Asian car dealer in Croyden, Andy Mann was also back on the music scene after a tour with the Crankies and the Chuckle Brothers heavy Rock extravaganza.
Issac Hunt was back using his bass guitar after 30 years working with the poor and destitute of the third world (Manchester) along with his best friend Hugh Rang, a defrocked catholic monk from the Isle of Lindesfarne.
The venue was to be the La Posada bar/restaurant in Villanueva del Trabuco, an up and coming Blues venue in a town not far from Granada. The La Posada, owned by June and Mike Bishop, a couple from the Birmingham area who have spent a lifetime collecting rare antique pastic ducks but who are avid Def leopard fans, decided the La Posada would be perfect for this long awaited comeback by the Shy Talk's.
