What a joke Steinem is. @ClareSK cont.. women had, and still have, more rights than men in Western Culture, especially after 1920. It's ridiculous the amount of protection get, and how they are held unaccountable for their actions and decisions. After 1920, women had the right to do all the things I listed, most just CHOSE to get married. @ClareSK Sorry, I don't need your information. I've studied feminism long enough to know exactly what it's really about. The whole "liberated woman" concept was derived to appeal to gullible women's pathological selfishness, when in reality, it actually forced most women to become complete workhorses. @TheFreeMentality Post 1920- 1927 here- women weren't fighting for equal rights to vote so that's a moot point. Feminists like myself think it's GREAT if men wish to stay home (feminism actually challenges all gender sterotypes) and if women were so able to get out work, study and travel, how does your 'bored housewife' argument uphold?
