  • @axe19841984 I feel the same way. Makes me ashamed that I ever shopped at Walmart, or anywhere else! If 2 people see this and change the way they shop, it is good. I am posting it everywhere in hopes that at least one will change.

  • How is the last song called?

  • Those chineses boss should be ashamed to sell those pants for such a low price. the girls worked more than half day, to win some coins that we found lost on the street. And china says that they're socialist.. what a joke

  • As someone who favors documentaries over any genre, this was one of the most phenomenal, gut-wrenching I have ever seen. I am a conscious person, but this is a must-see for EVERYONE. We all need to be aware, and care where/how our products are produced and do something about it. Lastly, this is just my personal opinion; but Walmart is a truly terrible corporate company-but they aren't the only one...

China is a giant in transition, which takes from everything that which favors the economic elite, which makes them generally a PATRIARCHAL ECONOMY. The definition of patriarchal economy is due to inconsistent sources a difficulty. When you know the Japanese Matrix-Economy with the "Generalissimo" [Shogun] at the head, then you have a grasp of the underlying system. The layout though follows a socialist pattern. Lucas is so far correct that this needs more words.

The problem is free trade? Really? Not communist overregulation? LOL!

Get some education about free market so you could understand how silly your comment was. China has implemented many elements of free market - this is why it's the biggest economy in the world now. But still is over regulated by government. It;s hard to explain in few words - especially to somebody thinking that knows everything best - if you don't start educating yourself nobody will help you. .

  • @lucasbck You have no idea what is happening. The number of factories that have opened in this region of China is unimaginable. There are cities of factories and employee housing in Shenzhen province. The problem is free trade, the lack of regulation of MNCs' ability to sub-contract out manufacturing to countries with poor labour standards, and labour law itself. Lastly, to call China communist is a dumb; they are authoritarian capitalists with shit laws on migration and labour.

  • I saw this docu today, and I almost cried. Why is the world like this? I was always like 'yeah, I'll buy the cheaper pair of pants, so I can go pooling this weekend/take a holiday/buy some books/cs. And then I saw this and realised: they can NEVER go on a holiday, go pooling with friends etc. Horrible. I am so rich, wealthy and lucky compared to them, everything is relative. Im going for the expensive pair.

Only thing I am afraid of: If I do that, won't this girls die because they wont get paid?

  • hard to find in french and consequently it's hard to understand alll but i really think it's one of the most important doc i have watch
