When I saw him in Berkeley in 2002, I approached him before the show and asked if I could record it. He mumbled under his breath, "get the fuck outta here", so I slowly backed away, saying "alright". Then he got all animated and said "Sure you can record it!" It wasn't until later I realized he was probably telling the demons to get the fuck outta here, not me.

From what I remember hearing, he would actually see demons in front of him and they would constantly tell him what a piece of shit he was. The only way he found to shut them up was playing music. A more pure reason for playing music I've never heard.

I did watch the documentary, have a background in abnormal psychology, and feel it is very likely Wesley suffers from schizophrenia.
