Did the theory of evolution start with Charles Darwin? If not whose work was he building on and where did they get their influences? Paul James-Griffith is a former ancient history teacher in this talk he presents his research on the origin of the theory of evolution. This is part one of a two part series.

Edinburgh Creation Group is an active forum where scientifically minded people meet to discuss evidence supporting the biblical account of creation.

You don't have the truth--you've got more bigfoot citings, and more demonic UFO's, and more crystal power, and more Astrology, and more Global floods, and more Rib ladies, and more psuedoscience than any normal person can tolerate.

    You were so close, circus.

    You obviously aren't stupid.

But for some reason you decided science was the enemy, and it would be better to join the villagers waving there pitchforks than to try to see the beauty of the works.

  • @odinata

"the way that science presents them."

Good, you do that. I'm glad I don't make you feel comfortable. It's not about comfort. It's about the truth of reality. If you can glean that truth from science, as you seem to understand it, more power to you. The odd thing is, we don't agree. Yet we both look at the evidence. You claim I'm ignorant, and I claim your interpretation is wrong. So...stalemate. But just so that you don't bitch, I will concede that I lose. "Science" wins.

  • @circusOFprecision

I like to conceptualize facts in the waytaht science presents them.

You can't get the terms right, you don't understand the processes, and you don't know what it really is you don't like about the Biology, the Geology, the Cosmology--other than that they don't confirm your vague stoned feeling that there just has to be some magical sky daddy who made everything.

No offense, but I'n going to stick with science.

You don't make me feel comfortable.

  • @odinata

You do what you have to do in order to conceptualize it in a way that makes you feel comfortable.

  • @circusOFprecision

So there you have it, circus.

You haven't destroyed Biology, or me.

You have been shown to have no understanding of the science.

You can continue to pander to the Young Earth Creationists, but we can see now that you simply don't understand the science you are refuting.

You just don't like the implications because you fear it poops on your religious opinions.

  • @odinata

You keep trying to make this about science, when this is not simply about science. This is about what knowledge we can glean from science and what it tells us about reality. In that regard, 150 years of science has only strengthened my position, a position you have yet to even grasp, unfortunately for you.

  • @circusOFprecision

Why would YOU pretend that 150 years of science haven't transpired?

Maybe you can provide a citation?

  • @odinata

Dawkins, by his own admission. Why would you even try to pretend there wasn't?

  • @circusOFprecision

    ARe there any Darwinists?

    Name one, YEC.

  • @odinata

    Are you a Darwinist?
