I love this song :) so much. even if i'm not sure what I believe, this song is a great step to me finding out what I do... I love her vocal mannerisms, they draw me in...

This song is amazing-it's basically saying that when your life is going great, its easy to be an atheist and think you can do it all by yourself. However, when people encounter problems out of their control they suddenly realize they need God to help them, and they rely on God. In a war or a hospital or when we're starving or losing someone we love, we realize we need God and we cannot live our lives without him.

I have to disagree. I'm atheist agnostic, and my friend died about four months ago. Though it was an incredibly hard experience to go through, I didn't feel like I needed God. I had my friends. I'm not speaking for all atheists or anything, but I don't like generalizations very much.
But I do agree with you that this song is amazing!
