Noor jahan was also excellent in classical music, though most of her songs for movies were to please the general public. Listen to her in film mousiqar, where she sings raag aiman for 6 minutes. She gives very rapid moorkian at a very high range. The range is higher than what any other male or female classical singer has ever given. Hence, I think that noor jahan was better than salamat Ali, barrey ghulam Ali, ameer khan, roshanara begum, parveen sultana etc. She just sang the light songs to pl

What a great composition, the tune is exceptionally sensitive. Noor jahan is 13 year old, singing with such great beauty, giving emotions and range effortlessly. She ruled music for ever since then.

Tariq Bhai Qadir Fareedi was a bit late singer i think.. remember his classical jugalbandi with Naseem Begum in Mauseeqar? (his name is not given in credits cuz it was planned to be a Salamat Khan sahab with Madam Noor Jehan..but neither party agreed..aur achha hi hua kay ye gustakhi nahi ki gai.. Jaisay Noor Jehan film music mein mahtab hain wesay hi Salamat Nazakat Duo classical mein aftab hain :-)

@Inaam2 Always speak the truth and never misguide the utubers.I had bought khandan from mm video 5 years ago.MM video never used jhankar since its inception.All the big dealers in old movies copy from mm's .This is for your information.They have such mammoth collection of old movies that you name the movie they have it.
