  • Not bad at all. ver articulated, not sloppy like Berezovsky, but lacks -in my feeling- the depth of burning, stable passion of the fabulous VInnitskaya performance. Yuja Wang puts too much rubato inot the cadenza. I favour Vinnitskaya's stable, steady burning passionate approach.

  • I guess to know why the original videos were removed : They don't fit the new look of Yuja Wang, imposed by Deutshc Gramophon : short hairs, makeup, etc. A pity.

  • C'mon, this is bad quality video because i saved this from Youtube (where it was deleted !) to upload it again. So don't criticize me.

  • We need to get the original video back! This is a magnificent performance. Does anyone know why it was removed? Thanks lisztnet for reposting ... is there a way to get the original quality back? Thanks.

  • I -hate- how these recordings are always made! Who cares what the violinist is doing, lets keep the camera on the pianist! Notice that they don't even put the camera on the person playing the melody. And before some one bashes on me, I am a violinist me of people would want the violinist to be in the spot light, but this is a piano solo now isn't it.

  • Phenomenal!

  • your great

  • @itsanthonyhere I strongly believe that this is the orchestra's fault and I am yet to play this piece and i wonder if the orchestra will every hear the pianist at this part!!!! They tend to go way behind the pianist. This is not the first time it has happened to any pianist and it is certainly not the first orchestra that has done this foolishness. THEY NEED TO LISTEN!!!! Pianists not only portray what they have learned we have to learn to play with them so why can't they do the same!!!!

  • tomorrow July 16th she'll play this at the Verbier Festival in Verbier, Switzerland. I'll be there. So looking forward to it. For the ones who can't make it to Switzerland or the ones who do but did not bother buying a ticket (I mean my parents) medici.tv will broadcast it live and i think even free.

  • @lisztnet thanks for the video! =D

  • oh my god, this is soooo impressive....i cant believe how anybody can even remember all these notes!

  • Is Yuja too fast from 4:30 to 4:44? Or is that a recording error??

  • You cannot compare Berezovsky's sloppy and badly phrased performance to Vinnitskaya's sublimity in this concerto in any way in my view. Generally speaking I am quite pluralist on music performances and art, but we cannot deny the superiority of, say, Da Vinci to someone like Mondriaan or Warhol (with all respect to these artists) and equally, Vinnitskaya's performance outdoes Berezovsky on about every point on the Prokofiev 2 concerto/cadanza. No comparison or disrespect meant 2 anyone so saying

  • @afertyus1000 go straight to hell you sick cretin. where on earth would that comment of yours come from? this girl didn't miss a note and she's on the verge of a major career. what a jealous cancerous growth you are, you sick maggot.
