Does this vent right into the attic? Do you need extra vents in the attic to move the air out doors?

Received my QC2550 today, installed it in about 1.5 hrs. Can't wait for the sun to go down and the cool fresh air to arrive. This should cool my entire house to 67 degrees tonight :)

I just bought a QC-2250. First let me say that I had to create a larger attic opening as mine was only 16" O.C. or 14.5 inches of actual opening. If you do not want to enlarge your attic opening, go with the QC-1500 or the QC-3200 which should fit through the smaller opening.
It's very much quieter than a normal whole house fan and can be run constantly if installed away from your living area. I very much like this fan.

frame a square (with 2x4's) in the attic, being sure to place your 2x4 on edge--(that is standing up) between to bottom cords of your trusses--(the 2x4's most likely you are standing on in the attic--the opening should be between these--once you've removed the fan)--the boards should be 22 1/2 inches long. place them perpendicular to the truss bottom cords--thus making a box-- nail these boards placed over the hole in a way that you can use them to screw the drywall to later from the room below

How much is this thing?? ballpark figure..?

air scape. there may be way. i'll be right back *goes to look at how he did his friends*
The installation location shown in the video renders the nearby smoke detector ineffective. I would highly suggest choosing an installation location at least 36" from a smoke or gas detector. If this is not possible, the detector should be relocated.

cut out a block of drywall the same size as the opening and drill it into the joists and plaster the sides, sand down and paint....
