The song "Hello Hello" from Mose Fan Fan and his band,Ngobila. In my opinion,one of the best soukous albums of the 1990's!
Democratic Republic of Congo (formerly Zaire)is justly famed for the magical quality of its guitarists who,since the 1950's,have been the driving force behind the most powerful and influential dance music on the African continent. Few guitar legends survive from the heyday of the music,but the "intrepid"Mose Fan Fan is on a par with the best of them.Somo Somo "Ngobila" led by Mose Fan Fan includes Syran Mbenza,Bopol Mansiamina,Nyboma,and Wuta Mayi (aka Les Quatres Etoiles)augmented by rythm aces Miguel Yamba and Komba and a vocal line up which is a real treasure trove:"Prince"Youlou Mabiala,from the origional Somo Somo;the "international" Sam Mangwana,a long time colleague,and Saak Sakoul "Sinatra"from the legendary Trio Madjesi.
