Well I am sorry, but I have created this clips to help the regular person get Karaoke at home on a budget. If you want Karaoke the same exactly the same as a bar in Japan, well you will have to buy their complete setup.

It may surprise you, but Karaoke is bigger outside of Japan!

@july22m lol!! I have lived in Japan for the past five years and go to karaoke maybe a couple times a month. I go to all the big karaoke places in Japan--jankara (じゃんから) big echo (ビッグiエコー) and shidax (シダックス) --and they all have video behind the lyrics. I wanted to recreate that experience on my computer.

2,700 songs for $80 vs spending an entire summer doing it the shady way... nah. My time isn't even that valuable and I'd still rather do it the legal way.

Yes you could just download the karaoke clips off of Youtube...
But there are advantages to buying super CDGs or downloading from legal karaoke sites for a couple of dollars per song:
* You can change the key of the song to suit your voice
* Sound Quality difference
* You are supporting the people who create Karaoke songs
Thanks

Get a friend who is good a checking computer hardware to take a look or take it to a computer shop.
The cheap option is to buy a USB external sound card on ebay for $2 including postage; it is the size of a cigarette lighter with a headphone and microphone socket. Then right click the volume icon (next to the clock) and select recording devices. Right click and disable the default microphone and set the USB microphone as the default. Do the same for playback devices.
