We would like to introduce you to one of Tucsons finest original new bands
The Earthlingz
From down-home blues to danceable rock, from jazz to psychedelic, The Earthlingz have the skill and experience to please any audience. Their original songs, written by guitarist Jeff Shad Roberts, are deceptive in their simplicity and highly infectious to their listeners. Their deep grooves make it nearly impossible for anyone to avoid nodding their heads, tapping their feet and getting off their chairs to dance and move.
Singer, songwriter and lead guitarist Jeff Shad Roberts crafted his style on the stages of Sacramento and Lake Tahoe in California. Jeff has shared the stage with such luminaries as John Cipollina, W.C. Clark, Merle Saunders, Bob Weir, the Rippingtons and many others. His guitar work and well-crafted songs soar over The Earthlingz dynamic rhythm section. Jeffs playing philosophy can be summed up as "play what you feel" and he plays what he feels with a soulfulness supported by great technical prowess
What do Dorothy Morrison, Fillmore Slim, Gary U.S. Bonds, The Temptations Motown Review, Bay Area Blues Society Caravan of All-Stars, Sukay, Jimmy Collier, Mitch Woods and Joe Louis Walker have in common? Bassist, guitarist, vocalist Chet Gardiner has performed with all of them and many others. His solid bass playing anchors The Earthlingz in much the same way that Jack Bruce anchored Cream or Noel Redding anchored the Jimi Hendrix Experience. Thanks to the magic of the loop pedal and the talent of his band mates, Chet is also able to lend his talents as a lead guitarist to an Earthlingz performance.
Vitautas Sakalauskas provides a solid percussion groove to the festivities. A renowned painter and as well as a talented musician Vitausas worked extensively in the L.A. rock, blues and jazz scene.
Please give a listen to String Theory, our debut CD.
