Know these are all old post. But one said Elvis and Beatles ripped billy off. Other way around. Besides all music is essentially a pattern and rythym. U know how many songs have that same rythym. Check Carl Perkins true love. Same style. Faster beat and one chord off but same thing. 85% of hank William. But I love it. But no one stole his guitar licks.

I got to see Billy Boy at the Cincy Blues Fest about 10 years ago. Very good indeed.

The great but almost forgotten Jody Williams is playing guitar on this track as he did on a number of great mid-50s tracks (Bo Diddley's 1956 Who Do You Love is another of Jody's incredible trademark solos and comping -- he's on a lot of Chess's 50's classics.) The Chess Bros. and the music biz in general was such a rip off industry that Williams got a day job and his guitar sat under his bed for 3 decades before he rejoined the scene and could make a living. Now that's pathetic.

check out "Eldorado Caddilac" the ablum has better recording properties, and the song "Lovin Mother of You" is just clasic good stuff, and funny

Wow I never heard of this Singer , he's awesome , who this is the kind of stuff all the rock stars got their riffs -like Keith Richards Brian Jones , The Beatles - Elvis .. wow this original stuff was always hidden away - Must have been and still is very Racist In The U.S.A..
