Although Gov't Mule have been around for over a decade and the lineup has changed since the original power trio of Warren Haynes, Allen Woody and Matt Abts, the band has released 'High and Mighty' and Haynes feels this is the bands best work as of yet. On the bands last album 'Deja Voodoo' the band enhanced their sound with addition of Danny Louis on keyboards and bassist Andy Hess. We caught up with Warren Haynes at 2006 Farm Aid benefit to talk about his views on 'High and Mighty' and how far the bands sound has come since the beginning.

why on earth would you make such a statement? if you don't like Warren,

just say you don't like the music, but don't be calling names. Disrespectful dude.

I just saw Warren Haynes Band the other night. An outdoor show along the river. His new band is outstanding. The Mule was good but Warren is such a powerful presence a larger outfit seems to suit him better. The sax player is out of this world as well as his new drummer. A nice treat was the Sam Cooke classic "A change Is Gonna Come". Do yourself a favor--catch this band! It'll be one of the best musical experiences you'll ever have!
