This song reminds me of my fiancé. He proposed to me but had to go to war One day there was a knock at the door and two generals stood in my doorstep. I just collapsed and started bawling. This song explains exactly how I felt. It's so amazing how they can turn emotions into lyrics. When I went to the funeral and they shot off the guns I just cringed knowing that was the sound that took away my Wade. When I got in the car afterwards this song was playing and I finally realized tht I might be ok

every time i hear this song, it makes me think of my best friend, tragically this world was ripped away from her just a mere 4 short yrs ago, she was that type of friend that didnt care if u hated her, she'd still help you, she saved me countless times, and when i got the call that she was gone, i just lost it, at her funeral i spoke to her as if she was here, and ive never been the same, the memories are still here! im not letting go!

@sunnygrl89 I cried reading that. The song didn't help too. I know how you must've felt when he went to war. My brother served for 2-3 years and it was the scariest time of my life. I was young then, but even now when he's here in the country again I still can't keep the tears restrained thinking about what could've happened.

@sunnygrl89 nobody should go through the pain of loosing someone i lost my brother in-law when he was 20 but it's all apart of life no matter how hard it is keep in mind to keep your head held high and you can do it
