hi i am from egypt . i had an open (hernia repair) anterior inguinal approach without mesh in 2005 . after i had this operation i felt a very weird pain and stretchy strong tissue in my abdominal cavity ( like a stretchy strong big peace of rubber espatially when i take a deep breath and moving ( walking - bending over ) . i live with this pain until now . (chronic pain) .
after i had the hernia operation i had another operation (Laparoscopic operation) to discover source of the pain .
egyptian surgeons found that my abdominal wall ( Posterior and anterior abdominal walls attached toghter !!! because of low and deep Stitches ) i know it is hard 2 believe because it is a superficial surjery and there is a big distance between Posterior and anterior abdominal walls . watch Laparoscopic videos ( in these videos surgeons tried 2 seperate and 2 release Posterior abdominal wall tissue from anterior abdominal wall tissue ) in 2 hours they could only release 20% from Posterior abdominal wall tissue attached directly 2 anterior abdominal wall tissue i want to know your opinion . i want 2 release the rest of Posterior abdominal wall tissue till its base . is this possible ???
Egyptian surgeons did alot of serches on net . they didn't find any match for my case .

  • What I'n Gods name did they do to you...?

  • Consider Shouldice Hospital in Canada for your groin (inguinal) hernia surgery. It's well worth the trip. It's a hospital dedicated to hernias only. The surgeons here are experts in hernias. They perform only hernia surgery. They make far fewer mistakes than general surgeons. Each surgeon repairs 3 to 4 hernias a day, about 60 a month, more than most general surgeons do in a year.

  • Since 1945, Shouldice Hospital says it has done more than 270,000 surgeries, with a reported recurrence rate for hernias of the groin of less than 1%. Recurrence rate is 10% for groin hernias when the procedure is done by general surgeons. That's a number disputed by others, including Dr. Karl A. LeBlanc, president of the American Hernia Society, who puts the U.S. rate between 3% and 5% (still higher than Shouldice).

  • Shouldice has been the leader and gold standard in hernia repair surgery. During the 1960s to the 1980s, many general surgeons started adopting the Shouldice or Canadian method. However, many could not duplicate Shouldice's success rate, because the operation is difficult to master without specializing in it. So, they switched to a simpler technique that implants a mesh screen or plug over the weak spot in the abdomnal wall.

  • The mesh patch, which holds back the hernia like a tire patch, has now become the most popular method. But debate continues over which is the better approach. At the Shouldice Hospital, the patient pays about $2,300 to $10,000 typically (2001 prices). Most groin hernia surgeries are 1 day outpatient surgeries. Shouldice Hospital keeps the patient there for 5 days, to be sure that the surgery is done right.

  • The 5 day treatment at Shouldice Hospital is included in the price:

    Day 1: patient is examined.

Day 2: surgery, using a local anesthesia.

Days 3 & 4: observation and light calisthenics.

    Day 5: discharge.

  • Each year, 11% to 16% of Shouldice Hospital patients come to Shouldice because their hernia repairs performed elsewhere have failed. Patients come here from all over the world. Check out the Shouldice Hospital official website.

  • let me tell you something as for ur surgeons they are the worst type of surgeons on the face of earth and unless u r an egyptian u must be crazy to let them touch u
