The bike was used as a testbed för a newly restored post war Nimbus engine. You can hear the whining sound from the straight cut cam shaft drive when the engine is rev-ed. Nimrod's own pre war engine has angular cut cam shaft wheels so it just grunts with no whining. =)
The engine in all the Nimbus is an in line, logitudinal, 750 cc four. Scandinavias only successful 'four buckets in a row'. It all started with a half top in the 1920-ies and continued with an OHC from 1934 and onwards.
The commenter seems to wonder where to find a Rebus or a Fibus.
My answer:
Store Steffen with the Rebus passed and the bike is not going anywhere soon.
I have hitherto not seen any of the fabled Fibuses so far.
A Rebus is a Nimbus with a Renault car engine and a Fibus one with a Fiat car engine, in case you wondered out there.. =)

Nimrod is not my machine.
The Swedish flag reflect the views of the owner, but not necessarily MY views.
I fly a Scanian flag on my bike. =)
