A short drive on U.S. 206 in Shamong Township, showing native Virginia and Shortleaf Pines along the way. There may also be Pitch Pines with them.

  • That Lincoln sure rides nice. The Virginia Pines appear more similar to White Pines than Pitch Pines. Saturday was the only nice day, and I wasn't even sure if it was ever going to clear out. I did wind up going down to Toms River where I explored some new areas.

  • @PinePowerLI That Virginia Pine at around 2:40 had a really great shape to it. Different than Pitch Pine, but still cool. I guess the weather cleared out for you later than it did here on Saturday.

  • How much rain did you get? Not much fall colors yet? Nice video. Peace

  • @dolly244 In that area where I shot the video, they got 2 inches I heard, but west of there they got 4, and then PA got a lot more, with bad flooding. Down here I'm not sure what we got.

There are some Fall colors, but not a lot yet.

  • @MillerMeteor74 Actually it was still dark when I left for Toms River on Saturday. But it was clear. But on Friday it seemed the clouds would never leave!
