Well, I finally got round to it. Whatever your name was that bothered me for this, consider this me shutting you up.
Since I've become a big fat CV nerd after beating SOTN, CV1, SCV4 and getting started on Harmony of Dissonance, I figured I'd slap up an LP of this.
Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (Known in Japan as, funnily enough, Castlevania: Minuet of Dawn) was released in 2003 and saw yet another non-Belmont hero get embroiled in the war against Count Vlad Tepes WHAT IS A MAN Dracula.
In this case, say hello to the poorly monikered hero Soma Cruz, an exchange student who has gone to Japan, possibly after scrounging enoguh cash off his patriarch to go there cos he heard Mikos are hawt. As it is, a solar eclipse is gonig on there. The year is 2035 and if my sources are correct, we're not sure if there will be an eclipse in teh real 2035. Anyway, after heading towards the highest ponit he can to have a looksee, Soma faints, possibly cos the staircase wanted to dick with him that day.
When he comes to, e's at teh foot of none other than teh Devil's Castle itself, with Mina tending to him. Meeting him at that point is everyone's favourite angst-ridden dhampir, Alucard, only he's not REALLY Alucard, he's now a Japanese agent named Genya "I-Can't-Believe-Its-Not-Alucard" Arikado. Genya explanins shit, then some monsters pop out.
Soma kills one of them, absorbs its soul and learns he now has power to absorb monsters' souls. Thus, he sets off into Castlevania to find a way out for him and his friend, Mina
Personally, I feel that this game is fun and that Soma is an interesting protagonist, and is himself a unique twist on the usual CV fare, not just cos he isn't a Belmont and doesn't use a whip. You'll find ou twhy.
Well, looks like it'll be one hell of a journey for me
This is a good game you have good taste in games
