actually it's a myth, it can reach 17k rpm really, when the panel shows 17.000 it's actually way less :P

yes its true the limiter is 16500 rpms but with a simple powercommander mod you can have a bone stock R6 running upwards of 19000 rpm 18 is possible without hurting any thing
