Melissa Beverlin
My name is Melissa Beverlin, I have lived in Las Vegas since 1978. I have been using cab service in the city for the past five years. Prior to that I used Paratransit, and once I was able to afford taxi cabs, I was kind of thrilled. I had a lot of problems with Paratransit, one of which was a constant backache. When I started using taxi cabs, their service was rocky at first. They would send out the wrong type of cabs, I need a wheelchair accessible cab, and they would send out normal cabs. And the wait times were too long, but once they split the city into two, I began getting better service on the west side of town. The east side, on the other side of I-15, is still unreliable and I can't count on them. The longest I have ever had to wait for a taxi was about four hours, and I finally was able to wake my brother up and he came and picked me up. The taxi they claimed was on its way never showed up.

the driver said its not for wheelchairs, kinda discriminating
