How to change your Engine Oil and Filter

Note: Refer to your owner's manual before changing your own oil. These are the basic steps.

A little additional info:

Some Manufactures recommend filling your new oil filter with oil before installation. Refer to your owners manual.

ALWAYS chock the rear wheels if you use vehicle ramps!

You may need to top off the oil if you don't prefill the oil filter. Check the engine oil level after running the engine and letting it sit for 15 minutes.
