While riding the bike was fun, AutoblogGreen also took the time to interview Brammo CEO Craig Bramscher on the Enertia all-electric motorcycle at EVS23.
@malgacho Never cycled a battery enough to cause failure have you? I have...granted it wasn't LiFe. Nobody has answered the MOST important question...can you recharge in 15min or less? Becuase most motorcyclist don't hang around town...most of us don't stop unless we are empty and THEN it's top off and go in under 10min including paying cash and taking a leak. I don't see electric being capable of that any time soon.
Battery packs for the auto/moto industry use more stable chemistry. They are able to hold up to 80 percent of their charge even after 7 years for regular use, so I wouldn't worry. The reason to upgrade to a new battery pack is to get better range out of the same bike, a brilliant idea.
BTW did you see their new bike? Empulse! it is based on their race bike and it is pretty sweet.
@markennvibryan You are contrary in dialect to the green movements dialect...for a real giggle ask them how much pollution do the LiPoly batteries leave when you make them or they melt down. Same for the NiMh and NiCad batteries. I've stressed those types to self destruction while racing. The LiPoly batteries burn real pretty, wonder what is in that smoke?
This is great news, so basically I don't get locked into any corners and I can improve the range of my bike over time by purchasing the newest battery pack available for the bike. That is an awesome concept.

Yeah, but is that a brushed or brushless motor? You get more power, range and lower maintinence from brushless.

@malgacho Especially when you consider those battery packs start going soft in a year, year and a half.

you dont save carbon by the time youve made the bike and theve burnt fosil fuels to make the electric to charge it each time surely ?
