The guitar has some nice cleans and AC/DC like har rock tones... It also sounds like any other guitar does, very unique. I was thinking of fittind the hot rodded set on my firebird, does it loose the special tone it has and the great cleans, or is the SD Hot Rodded a massive improvement at no cost (sound wise)?

@machone7I All Sounds are better with the Hot Rodded Set.Sound qualities goes almost equal to Gibson Guitars.It's a great Improvment for this guitar.

Don't know the exact setting anymore, but I think it´sPreset Sound #67 (Enter Sandman), a little less treble, GainButton switched off. All settings on Vox Tonelab ST, Seymour Duncan Hot Rodded Humbucker set on Epiphone Firebird
By the way, i like the songs you perform, rockin stuff!

The Epiphone Firebird is quite a good guitar, but the original pickups suck. So i put two Seymour Duncan Humbuckers into it, now it rocks! Sounds much brighter, Gibson-Like.
