Samsung Galaxy S 4G Review (T-Mobile)
The Samsung Galaxy S 4G is the first entrant to the line with HSPA+ support, but is the speed supported by a quality device worthy of your two-year contract?

Samsung's Galaxy S 4G is finally here, but is it going to live up to the hype? Will you be happy with it a few months into your contract let alone two years from now?

Surprisingly, yes, you probably will be happy with the Galaxy S 4G. We're giving it 4.5 stars out of 5 based on call quality, the updates to Samsung's TouchWiz interface (especially the tray), the overall rich look of the Super AMOLED screen and more.

This isn't to say that all aspects of the phone are perfect. The body feels fairly solid due to its size, but the back is just a plastic shell, and feels like it could go flying off without a whole lot of prompting, a big drawback to the overall sturdiness feeling of the handset. Even though TouchWiz has received some modifications, it still isn't the best Google interface out there. Flash is sluggish despite the rest of the system being pretty snappy, and we'd actually recommend you shut it off and forgo it.

Here are all of the specs in case you aren't familiar with them.
Samsung Galaxy S 4G Specs * Android 2.2 Froyo * TouchWiz 3.0 UI * 4-inch Super AMOLED (480 x 800) screen * Gorilla Glass display * 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor * Accelerometer * GPS * Internal Memory: 1GB ROM, 512 MB RAM * microSD, up to 32GB, 16GB card included * Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n * 5 MP rear camera * 720P HD video recording * Front facing camera with Qik video support * 1650mAh lithium ion battery

Even with a few drawbacks, it's a good phone, and a decent choice if you're an existing T-Mobile customer in need of a new phone, but it's not worth switching carriers for, or even if you are some ways away from your upgrade period.

What do you think? Any interest in the Samsung Galaxy S 4G?
