I have a Yamaha V-Max (1200cc; '03) with no windscreen. I weigh 250+ lbs and am 5' 9". At 120km/h (about 75 mph), I have to grip my handlebars tightly. I've not gone above 140km (87mph) because I have to fight against the wind to stay on! With that said, my other bike is the Yamaha FZR-1000 ('90). I've gone up to 240km/h (149 mph) with it...I might have gone faster but I didn't dare look down at the speedometer anymore--I don't have the time to look anywhere but straight ahead at that speed!

@seamuswarren I have a windshield on my Roadie and have ridden her at 110 mph, it's scary but she was as steady as a rock. I also have the Eibach 1000 lb spring which makes a big difference and I highly recommend to all Road Star and V-Star riders.

You got a fairing or a wind shield? Riding at speed sucks on my Roadie. The whole bike vibrates and it is a very uncomfortable ride.
