I can safely say that I didn't "NEED" that tick bite or those symptomst! This video is dramatically oversimplified and badly writen. Why in the world would they make it sound as thought Lyme disease is some sort of easy project anyone can accomplish?

So far, antibiotics only help if taken soon after infection. If the infection, which is a cousin to syphilis (a spirocete), has been there for a while, it goes "underground" and spreads and antibiotics don't appear to help. The spirocetes protect themselves with a little "capsule" when they are dormant and may not show up on tests like the Western blot, depending on what part of the cycle they are in. Immediate treatment is best.
