  • timboy666 do you have a rc plane or helicopter??

  • i have a rc plane but not for this engine yet!

  • how much fuel does it use up running at these rates?

and how much energy it put out?

    sweet engine by the way

  • Hi, it will burn about 1 litre every 4 mins but you wouldnt fly it on full power all the time! so fights

will last about 6 mins on 1 litre, its power output is

just over 16 lbs of thrust. not bad for something the size of a bake bean can!!

  • can i get something like that for my bike...lol!

  • it has been done before lol

  • The RPM's are displayed in k's. Look at the gauge. It says: x1000.

    So 161 means , 161 x1000 = 161.000 rpm

  • Why does the EGT climb for a bit as the RPM drops?

  • @jjw3579 Hi, it does this because the compressor in the engine is at idle speed so the heat increases a little as the hot fuel and residual heat clears out of the engine

  • The turbine blades spin round a drive shaft

  • @lolaroflmao Its sucked in yes, but its also heated to an extremely high temperature (hot air expands) and then released through a very small aperature - this creates the thrust!

  • @jjw3579 less air volume going through to cool the engine

  • @jjw3579 I guess it's the same reason why it drops when the RPM is climbing in the first place, I'm thinking it could be because more air is sucked in and is cooling. when the RPM is dropping, less air is sucked in thus the temperature goes up. but just guessing

  • in jet engines what spins around? why is it measured in rpm? isnt it just air being sucked in and blasted out the back. theres nothing spinning?

  • Which PC software you are using?

  • @timboy666 hi... how do u calculate the RPM ?? wats that software called ?? is there a open source code for that software ?? please reply...

  • heh, jese, that egt spike is harsh
