Lego Blacktron & Space Police

TO ANYONE WHO CAN READ THIS:

Here's are the sub-themes of Lego Space (which are in the order of their releases):

- Blacktron I (released in 1988; discontinued in 1991)

They are the first "true" theme within Lego Space.The main colors on their sets are black with yellow accents. The tranparent color on most sets is yellow,with the engines colored red. The mini-figs wears all black,accept for the grey torso part. Their visors on their helmet are black as well. They were,however, are the first bad guys of within this theme. Their igsignia are three small yellow triangles forming a large triangle,which somewhat resembles a tri-force.

- Space Police I (released in 1989; discontinued in 1991)

Another sub-theme,are one of the good guys and are law enforcers of space. The main colors are black with blue accents,with red transparent color on their windows and cockpits. The mini-figs wears white spacesuits with black accents.Their visors on their helmets are transparent red. They are known to have jail-cells on most of their sets. Their igsignia is a black square with two red lines and the word "police" in the middle.

- Blacktron II: Future Generation (released in 1991; discontinued in 1994)

This theme gets a huge makeover with the main colors of black and white,with transparent neon green. They are once again the bad guys,and the mini-figs wears white with black accents,and has neon green visors. Their insignia of neon green "B" inside the black octagon. They are mostly known to have detatchable bubble-shaped cockpits on most of their sets.

- Space Police II (released in 1991; discontinued in 1994)

It was the next theme to also have a huge makeover,with the main colors of grey with green and red accents,with transparent dark green. Their igsignia is somethat a black square with a red line on top,and a green line on the bottom,with the words "Space Police" on the center.Again,they are the good guys,with the mini-figs wearing green uniforms with dark green visors.However, the commander minifig wears red shoulder pads.They are also one of the very few sub-themes in Lego Space to not featured a base of any kind.

- Space Police III (to be release sometime in the summer of 2009.)

In this theme,they return yet again with a new look,with the colors of white, black,and transparent dark blue. The mini-fig wears dark grey uniforms with black visors. They are somewhat have a great resemblance of the SWAT team,but a space-like feel. It also included alien-like mini-figs,as the bad guys,replacing Blacktron,(of some sort). Their vehicles are also has a resemblence of the real police vehicles,but with a futuristic feel. Their igsignia is somewhat look like a golden police badge with star in the center,and a small spaceship flying in orbit.

they should bring back ICE PLANET, Space Police, Explorian, and Black Tron New Generation. These newer sets don't have that same feel as these retro, almost steampunk, designs have. It doesn't have that cold feel of space even. These old sets you could "see" in space. The newer sets are more streamlined and "cost efficient" I guess.

@rocker11281 There is an update to this in the form of the space cyborg minifig, but in my opinion, they should bring back Blacktron generation 1 unchanged.

what is the name of the Green Space police dudes ? those were my faves, i have the whole big spaceship and boy did i have some adventures with that :D

I really got a crush on the first blacktron series. It was so great. I even had the big base. I still love the all black minifigs and the design of their crafts and vehicles. Lego should make a carefully designed remake line of this theme. hurts my eyes to see the recent models. ist there more than 4 - 9 parts in that sets???
