It is a succinct explanation how electrostatic acceleration is wisely used to achieve a net energy gain from fusion reactions. CrossFire Fusion Reactor, the use of wisdom instead of brute force to harness the fusion energy efficiently in order to produce an enormous quantity of clean and safe electric power with no radioactive waste.

Just because something is complicated doesn't mean it will work. Looks like another money black hole fusion reactor that promises to be viable in 20 years after 60 billion dollars, oh wait make that 50 years and a trillion, oh wait, ad infinitude. There are simpler aneutronic reactor schemes out there that have better promise. Don't forget the KISS principle. Keep it simple stupid.

Historically, a lot of technological things have become simpler after some complex steps.
But if someone likes so much the KISS principle (Keep It Simple Stupid), then can try, for example, to manufacture silicon computer chips from grain of quartz sand on a beach, pretty simple.

First of all, where is the cryogenic equipment? Or have you discovered room-temperature superconductors? How exactly do you have a Penning trap that large, where is the equipment for it, and how do you put all that stuff inside it without rendering it completely unusable? And an 'optional' vacuum? A vacuum is required! Where is the vacuum pump? And part of your design involves moving plasma with 'optional' magnets?? What other method did you intend to use?

The basic equipment for Penning trap are inside the armature: the electrostatic generator and the superconducting electromagnet.
The cryogenic equipment (not shown) is to be together with the superconducting electromagnet, both powered by the electrically insulated motor/generator pair and cooled by insulated cooling heat exchanger pipes. The cryogenic equipment in such configuration is to be a great technical challenge, but not impossible after all.

High vacuum is required just inside the electromagnet’s bore (reaction chamber). The space between the electromagnet and the armature can be vacuum or insulating gas. The vacuum pump is to be placed below the armature and connected to the electromagnet’s bore.
Optional magnet is just for enclosing the Multiphase Thermoelectric Converter that is an alternative method to conventional steam generation.

Actually if i had the money i would try to do this but it would take at least 100,000 dollars. looks very promising to me.

Well silicon and fusion are two different things. I have been to Lawrenceville labs and they have a much better idea. I wish that Farnsworth was still alive so he could persue his fusor as well. I have also been to the Tokamak in Princeton and it is a bottomless money pit that promises much and delivers 0. People want to keep a job no matter how it affects the rest of the world. They have been promising so much and delivering nothing. In the mean time cold fusion has been attacked and denounced.

I'm 32. By the time Fusion is a reality I'll be being gobbled by worms. I like petrol. You burn it, you go fast, no mucking about with reactors or bringing the sun to earth. Nice and simple. Coal is great too, for boats and trains. Wood is good, for warming your house. We have loads of these resources so let's not be afraid to make the most of them.
