  • Very nice MAN:))))

  • Niiiice! How did you get the mic to pick up the bass? When I do it it sounds horrible. I'm glad I used 140+ sq ft of Dynamat Extreme in my car. It looks like it rips pretty hard on bare metal haha. Check my 9512 out when you get a chance bro. L8tr.

  • how big is your box and what is it tuned to

  • i listen to all kinds of music , like trance house rap alternative an rock, so tuning i did b4 was like 38 hz. let me know the biggest box that can be slid into the trunk based on yer experience. oh btw, i made the trunk floor outta 3/4 mdf wood cuz the stock floor fell apart. thanx BASSMAN

  • did u put your box in through the trunk, or did u put it in the trunk through the back seat by taking out the seats and cross braces? I did one that way and it was a pain in the ass.the biggest box i ever put in the trunk through the trund mopening was30.5" wide 18 deep and 14" high. i dont think any bigger would fit. i had 2 dei sx10d4's in that box. still have them ,not in trunk now though. If a bigger box will fit in there without going through the backseat let me know.

  • send me the specs of your speaker and height, width and depth and i will design you a box, with the hondas you have to make sure you sound deaden the car, as all the flexing will make the bass more distorted, also what kind of music do you listen to? so i can port tune it to your taste

  • I don't know if they make one for Car Audio cause I've been out of the game for so long, but in home audio subs you have a phasing knob to adjust and account for your environment.

In car audia you are limited so heavily by the environment (the car). Tweeking with the box and port can drive you nuts.

I'm an SQ so I do things totally different these days.

    Good luck

  • There is far more to a ported box then just meeting spec...especially in a car. If you are going for SPL you really want the rear wave (what comes out of the port) to be on time with the front wave (forward cone motion). Without going crazy that's the easiest way for max output specifically regarding phasing. In some cases you can have a forward firing port, rear firing sub and they can be 180 degress off. This will sound sloppy and have less output.

  • To me my car sounds like the bass is out of phase when i face it forward. Lemme know a lil more about yer setup please. Thanx bassman (steve)

  • Im trying to find a good amp and sub setup for my prelude. on a video sound isnt gonna tell you how it really sounds. I see yer windshield looks cracked tho. Ive had trouble getting my car (93 lude to sound good with the sub facing forward. Did it sound better forward to you, to me facing back was better after I did sound dampening on the lid and rear deck and floor.
