  • The ratio of new fans to old fans is pretty likely 1:1,000. The graphics won't turn anyone off besides the gamer types that think graphics > gameplay. They are the most disgusting gamers of all. =\

  • I'm definitely getting Mega Man 9. Hopefully, it will be so popular, that Capcom will stop making those crappy Battle Network games.

  • i'm glad it's 8bit, cause putting in 3d could have ruined it like it did with the x series... and the music is awesome to^^ getting it day 1

  • Hell yeah.

The thing is, lots of those freaking gamers will be whinging about this the second it comes out on WW/XBL/PSN...

  • cuz there not gamers there art watchers.

  • i like how capcom is saying fuck HD megaman is 8-bit buddy.

  • Ya, I suppose it is rather out of the ordinary and quite unexpected. Still, I can't think of any other title for the game other than "Mega Man 9", personally.

  • I'm not saying it isn't, it's just odd that they would downgrade the graphics like that when older games in the series have more advanced graphics. Like I said, I'm not against the idea, and I know I'll download this game in like a second when it comes out, just seems like it's not really gonna fit in with the whole series when you take the large step backwards into account.

  • 8 was 32-bit, not 16-bit. And I don't think calling this Mega Man 9 is inconsistent at all. It's the next real Mega Man game and I think it's definitely worthy of such a heavy title.

  • So Mega Man I-VI are 8-bit, VII is 16-bit, VIII is 16-bit with cutscenes, an IX is 8-bit... makes perfect sense.

I'm not criticizing the fact they're coming out with a new 8-bit Mega Man game, in fact I fully support it, but it seems kind of inconsistent to give this the name "Mega Man 9."

  • This Looks Awesome

  • I concur.
