Well to my knowledge, being taught from my ex who's indian but christian, she said that the real religion is monotheistic but over time it degenerated and mixed with local superstitions in India. Just to things clear up :)

Yes, I meant the same. I don't reject people because they are religious, of course. I have plenty of friends who believe in God. I have also a Hindi friend who believes in several gods. I think it's cool. But that's not something I would do, put myself into a religion.
