  • Thanks Michele, just for the record the song is called "blackwaterside"As with each song Willie sang,it is hard to think of anyone doing it better.

  • thanks for putting me straight Neillie, Hope the CD plays ok, :)

  • Sadly Willie died on Wednesday 7th January, 09. His funeral will be at Lochcarron Parish church at 11am Saturday 10th January, 09. Willie was a great muscian, he was a lovely man and will be very much missed.

  • It's Willie Beaton, as the title suggests, the vid is'nt great but then my camera doesnt like the dark, nor does it have great sound quality!!

  • @inverkenny Yes, Willie recorded with The Incredible Fling Band and if you email neillieach who comments above, he may still have some cassette tapes of that unique voice now sadly gone.

  • R.I.P Bomber wullie ,nice 2 be part of your family

  • RIP, Willie xxx

  • shame the quality is so bad, as underneath the distortion he sounds like one helluva singer, sorry i never got the chance to hear him in Plockton, and sadly now, it seems i never will, did he ever record anything as i would love to buy some.

  • Thanks for taking the time to post these vids (and passing on the sad news last night, good to see you looking good as ever ; )

Although the quality poor, noisy beggars but then thats Plocky, Willies essential essence and timber are captured wonderfully.

He was such an inspiration to me and all who heard him.

May he "sport & play", forever.

  • always great craic Willie.xx
