Planes, Trains, and Automobiles Airplane Food deleted scene

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought I would upload a deleted scene from one of my all-time favorite movies, Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. I watch the movie every November and occasionally will break out the TV version just to watch this scene.

@doddsino none that I have seen. I have seen bits and pieces of scenes from the trailer and from the DVD bonus featurette that didn't make the final cut but they have never been released. hopefully they will release them sometime down the line.

This was back in the good old days when food was part of your plane ticket and you didn't have to pay for it. I've heard that buried in the Paramount archives is a 3 hour version of this film that hasn't been seen or released. Because John Hughes died at a prematurely young age and there won't be any more treasures of a movie like this one from him, I guess we could all hope for the deleted scenes on a special edition DVD or Blu-Ray disc.

@collegeman1988 I've heard the same thing. I know there is definitely a lot of unreleased material because I have seen clips from the bonus features of the new DVD and from the trailer. hopefully someday all of the PT&A fans will get there wish and get to see it. and come on, those little crackers shaped like airplanes aren't too bad haha.

There is a deleted seen that was filmed in Gowanda NY...It was in a restaurant and I was standing in the back.

If I remember correctly this scene was used in the TV version when it aired on the USA Network.

Boy it's a good thing Neal and Del didn't have that stewardess serving them food, she was very obnoxious, the brown curly haired woman's reaction to the mean stewardess at :15 was priceless!

@zark212 Other cut scenes I know of were more motel room scenes. They had a pizza, Del sung Elvis in the bathroom. There was a scene filmed where Del and Neil say goodbye to Owen at the trainstation. Also, apparently Jeri Ryan had a scene but it was cut, I think she played the girl who Del rented a car from, he said "I gave this girl behind the counter a set of shower curtain rings". Also I think the movie didn't end when they got home, I think Del had a thanksgiving dinner with Neil's family.
