Sensationalism in the Media.

DIT - university project.

As the theme of Photoshop and print this module was Broadcast, I decided to take the angle of sensationalism in the media. The imagery I chose is connected to war and cinema which portray graphic and sensationalist styles of violence. The inspiration for the video was the mondo horror film Cannibal Holocaust, which comments on the same subject through the portrayal of violence in the media. The music track is also the opening theme from the movie.

Indeed, the media cashes in on people's fears. Over half of what they report is fake and they are legally allowed to lie.
